Through halls as these I wander in a daze,
A guppy swimming deftly class to class.
From my first period gym class's haze
To seventh period's AP English sass.
I've been here for three years and have one more
To learn the lessons I will need to learn,
Like how to keep my back from getting sore
From carrying these texts I've come to spurn.
And every day I think, "I need a break.
I need to up and move myself from here,
Away from tests and dittos I can't take.
But that won't happen." And I've grown a fear...
I fear just this -- that there shall never be
A subterranean respite for me.
It should be mentioned that this might have most effect if you share my English class with me. Otherwise, thanks for reading anyway.
